poet, bard, poetaster, poetess, versifier: 这组词的共同意思是“诗人”。其区别是：
一.poet指一般的“诗人”,常用于肯定语气,而无贬义。
二.versifier指“诗人”时含贬义,指那些写轻薄或轻松的诗句或用过时的严格格式写诗的“劣等诗人”,也常译为“打油诗人”。versifier还可指改散文成诗者,这时虽无贬义,但也含有水平不高的意思。例如:
They are just a horde of versifiers who could hardly be considered poets.他们只是一些水平不高的改散文成诗者,根本谈不上诗人。
